I have been very nostalgic lately for sytycd. I miss coming home from camp over the summer and tuning in every (I think) Wednesday night to watch the show. I'm wondering if there's any way I could rewatch it again. I have found some dances online, but there's a lot I can't find that I'd love to see again, and I miss the episodes themselves, not just the dancing. Could anyone help out please?

Dancing With The Stars saw the opportunity and ran with it.

She’s by far my favorite part of the show this season! I have such a girl crush on her. Amazing dancer and actress.

Trying to find a dance from the early seasons (1 or 2 maybe 3?!) It was a male and female and I think they had jump suits on and possibly like jabbawockeez style mask and white shoes… kind of hip hop I think started slow then went to an awesome beat. My sister and I have been searching so hard to find it but having no luck! Hopefully someone can help! Cheers!

Why did I just realise that the dancer in Ed Sheeran's Don't music video is Phillip Chbeeb from Season 5?!

Stumbled on this as I don't follow the news too often, but it seems ABC decided to do a competition show to determine who the next pro on DWTS will be. So this isn't really SYTYCD but it's a huge step up from what we've had on either show as it's all pros competing and it's actually going to be judged by pros it seems. Maybe this will take some of the sting out of Fox saying no SYTYCD in the 2025-26 tv season? It will for me.

hi! i'm working on a platform called the lone screen (we host one-night-only online film premieres), and our first film (Something Casual) features sytycd season 10 alum nico greetham. i wanted to share because i grew up on sytycd and was so excited when i realized the film featured someone i had seen 10 years ago on the show (his audition video here - warning features nigel hitting on nico's mom...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrsmGZjTci0)! obviously, this is partly promotional, but the film features modern dance throughout (one of the characters is a dancer), so i think it will be meaningful for anyone who loved watching sytycd like i did growing up! very open to any feedback on the platform if you have a chance to check it out. there's a discussion forum after the premiere where the director will be answering questions! **the details:** Film: *Something Casual* Date: Thursday, May 7 Time: 8:30 PM CT / 6:30 PM PT Where: Online at [thelonescreen.com](http://thelonescreen.com/) Ticket: $15

this episode aired in 2011 or earlier and was possibly and episode of sytycd canada. all I remember was that it was vampire themed (I don’t remember the song at all, unfortunately) and at the end the girl was meant to mime biting the guy’s neck but she did it for real. in the post-performance interview he was bleeding. feels like an event that would be infamous in the contest show canon but I can’t find it anywhere. does anyone know what I’m talking about?

I personally thought it was a great season but looking back at the social media now there was a lot of upset on Alexis winning. I think she was great and her and Keaton both deserved to win but it seems to be a very controversial season. Maybe I’m missing something but do yous think Keaton was so much better than Alexis than he deserved the win?

looking for a song that was featured in SYTYCD. i dont remember which season or which dancers did it, but was a guy and girl dancing contemporary. I'd like to say somewhere between season 7 - season 14? The concept was about the couple splitting up or traveling somewhere. The camera work in the beginning was really good too cos it followed the girl as she walked across the stage to meet the guy. It's a slow song somewhat classic-drama song that starts with higher piano keys and slowly builds up. (dun--du-di-du-dun-dun) (dun--du-di-du-dun-dun) lyrics build up and contain these I think "now this world when we collide, it's not enough for me, it's not enough for me"?

This audition was really the most moving performance I've ever seen. This must have been decades ago but I am still frozen in front of the tv falling apart watching this man. I believe he said he was showing his friend's soul's search for a way out. Does anyone recall this? I would really love to know who this performer is.

Were there any top 10, 20, or winners that were held for choreography in auditions? If they even showed them.

I'm doing a rewatch of old seasons, and was wondering if anyone has ever made a podcast looking back through the show... potentially watching the old episodes, recapping them, discussing them with a critical eye. Maybe a bit like what Race Chaser has done for Drag Race or Drop Your Buffs has done for Survivor? I'd love to listen, if so.

What is your SYTYCD unpopular opinion?
0 comment(s) · Dec 28, 2025, 8:05 AM
Hi everyone! I know this is a lonnnnng shot, but over a decade ago a friend showed me a Polish version of SYTYCD and I fell in love with one of the choreographies. Unfortunately, I can't find it *anywhere* \-- I even got a polish VPN, tried the way back machine, everything, but no dice. But, hey: maybe somebody here can help? From my research, it looks like it was on Week 4: Top 10 (5 May 2010) of Po Prostu Tańcz! season 5. The couple was Paulina Figińska and Tomasz Barański, the song was Happy by Leona Lewis (this bit I am 100% sure of! I vividly remember it!), and the choreography was done by Jonathan Huor. I remember the video looked like a couple going through marriage (?) and in the end the woman left the man. Fingers crossed that somehow someone has it saved in a link

My friend is a big DWTS fan and recently asked me to make her a playlist of the auditions from DWTS pros from when they were on SYTYCD. I did my best since some weren’t easy to find, but was able to acquire some for her. It got me thinking about who some of the most memorable auditions were from the series. Some of the ones that came to mind for me were Hampton Williams, Amelia Lowe, Pasha and Anya, Fik-Shun, Jordan Casanova, Lacey Schwimmer, Smac McCreanor, and the trio of Marcus Nyemchek, Allen Genkin, and Magda Fialek. I was curious which auditions from over the years have stuck with you the most?

I always wondered why in season 9 they had the dancers recreate Mia Micheal’s iconic dances, it didn’t hit the same the second time around

I didn‘t see her post anything but was Alison at the Dance Hall of Fame ceremony, you would think she would be there if they were honoring her late husband, Twitch

I know because of the music it doesn't stream anywhere but by any chance does anyone know of a place to get them? I used to download them forever ago and recently i found my old hard drive which had some episodes from the first 8 or 9 seasons but some of the files have become corrupt. Wish I would've grabbed all the oversized HD version back then.. Most of it is SD and looks rather bleh on a 4k TV.

Our duo of pop stars from the Juniors season had a nice morning today. Daniela of KATSEYE was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela” alongside her group. Tate was nominated for Best Dance Pop Recording for her song “Just Keep Watching”. Congratulations to both of these SYTYCD alums

Something I feel SYTYCD fans forget is the original narrative over some amazing contestants that we got. I consider Jeanine to be one of the best ever winners, but the reasons extend beyond her talent. She was not featured at ALL before the live shows except for a 2 seconds clip when she made the top 20. She was paired with Philipp, a non-trained dancer and had hip hop as the first dance of the season. All the ingredients for a fodder scenario were there. Literally one bad dance at the beginning and she could've maybe been sent home. But she proved herself with her solos and creativity, even when stuck in a partnership where she had to do the heavy lifting. She was amazing!

Does anyone recall details of an episode back in season 3-6-ish where all 10 contestants or so had to dance the same solo choreography with their own spin on it? I remember having to listen to the same music over and over again spread throughout the episode. I could not find anything online, but it’s hard to describe it well enough for Google!

In case anyone is interested in an Italian show, I thought I’d share this clip in case you haven’t seen it. There’s a televised series in Italy called Amici, and it’s more of a talent show that includes people (aged 18-30) who dance, sing, or song write. It’s been airing every year since 2001. This video features Mattia Zenzola who competed as an 18-year old in Season 22 in 2022-2023. The Amici clips on YouTube are pretty short, and you have to sift through a lot of videos, but you might find some good stuff there.

Anyone else think the SYTYCD Kids ended up way more successful than expected? Like seriously… a good number of them are killing it in the industry (some in pretty unexpected way) Tate McRae is now a full-blown pop star with Billboard hits and world tours. Kida choreographed for Justin Bieber and is now performing with major hip-hop artists. J.T. Church was a ballroom pro in dwts juniors and still pops up in dance workshops. Daniela freaking debuted in KATSEYE. Ruby won 2 dance awards after the show ended and Jordan seems really big on TikTok now.

I really wish we had some news on the next (American) season but so far it's been crickets. I just want to watch extremely high level dance lol Looking back on WoD in the past also makes me wish we could get that back. Any news of... any kind on any of these shows?

There was a segment somewhere in the history of this show where they talked about the mechanics of dance - it was set up kind of like a blueprint, with angles and the physics of it all. Am I making this up? Does anyone else remember this, or where it appears?
